An automated system for hold baggage
To guarantee you optimum security, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport has opted for the latest-generation, fully automated I.F.B.S. hold baggage inspection system.
Your baggage will be carried in complete safety within shorter inspection and conveyance times.
- Greater speed: on average, 2 1/2 minutes will be required to check and transport baggage from the check-in desk to the end of the sorting phase. The IFBS system will be able to check 2,400 items of baggage per hour compared with conventional baggage conveyors and manual checks which only manage 300 items an hour.
- Greater reliability: traceability and monitoring of hold baggage will be guaranteed thanks to a centralised computer system.
- Greater flexibility: this new system will automatically adapt to baggage flow. Airlines can check-in several flights at a time from the same desk.
The other airport terminals already feature this system.
